    3/4" Rubber Ball for Willcox & Gibbs Automatic Chain Stitch / Singer 24 Treadle or Brake Ball, Quantity 2 .  The ball fits in a pouch in the dress guard and prevents the machine from going in the wrong direction.  I have one of these in my W&G treadle and it works great and is silent.  Only 1 ball is needed per machine.  I don't have a Singer 24 treadle to try the ball out but 3/4" is the proper size.
