    Description

    Hand made sewing/vanity box made in about 1850.  No visible nails.  Banded with metal and inlaid wood.  Possible ivory pulls on interior compartments.  Gorgeous inlaid border around mirror.  There is a lock, but no key and perhaps a hidden compartment which we were not able to find.
