    Description

I'm currently listing a large number of playbills and magazines from four decades of the career of BETTE MIDLER, The Divine Miss "M" ....... This is a rare September 10th, 1973 program (playbill) from the one-week concert appearance of BETTE MIDLER at the Universal Studios Amphitheatre in Hollywood, California. (The production would open December 3rd, 1973 at New York's Palace Theatre play 19 performances.) ..... BETTE MIDLER was supported by "THE HARLETTES" (Charlotte Crossley, Robin Grean and Sharon Redd) and her musical director, BARRY MANILOW. The concert was turned into a successful Broadway musical event, "BETTE MIDLER AT THE PALACE" for which Bette was honored with a special Tony Award on April 21st, 1974 for "Superior Concert Entertainment on the Broadway Stage" ..... DETAILS: The eight page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes, production credits, wonderful RICHARD AMSEL cover graphics, a great photo and an extensive bio of Miss Midler ..... CONDITION: This playbill shows heavy creasing, light soiling and a tiny edge tear at the top. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or BETTE MIDLER fan. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
