I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ......... This is a rare August 1964 playbill from the closing week of the Original Broadway production of the TOM JONES and HARVEY SCHMIDT musical "110 IN THE SHADE" which played the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 24th, 1963 and closed August 8th, 1964 after 330 performances.) ..... The musical starred INGA SWENSON, RAY DANTON (who replaced ROBERT HORTON the final week) and STEPHEN DOUGLASS and featured seventeen year-old LESLEY (Ann) WARREN (in her Broadway debut), WILL GEER, JOHN CARTER, SCOOTER TEAGUE and GEORGE CHURCH ..... CREDITS: Music by HARVEY SCHMIDT; Lyrics by TOM JONES (Schmidt and Jones are the songwriting team behind "The Fantasticks", "Celebration", "I Do! I Do!", "110 in the Shade" and "Colette"); Book by N. CONDITION: This playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
