    I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ......... This is a rare August 1964 playbill from the closing week of the Original Broadway production of the TOM JONES and HARVEY SCHMIDT musical "110 IN THE SHADE" which played the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 24th, 1963 and closed August 8th, 1964 after 330 performances.) ..... The musical starred INGA SWENSON, RAY DANTON (who replaced ROBERT HORTON the final week) and STEPHEN DOUGLASS and featured seventeen year-old LESLEY (Ann) WARREN (in her Broadway debut), WILL GEER, JOHN CARTER, SCOOTER TEAGUE and GEORGE CHURCH ..... CREDITS: Music by HARVEY SCHMIDT; Lyrics by TOM JONES (Schmidt and Jones are the songwriting team behind "The Fantasticks", "Celebration", "I Do! I Do!", "110 in the Shade" and "Colette"); Book by N. RICHARD NASH based on his play "The Rainmaker"; Sets designed by OLIVER SMITH; Costumes designed by MOTLEY; Choreographed by AGNES DE MILLE; Directed by JOSEPH ANTHONY; Produced by DAVID MERRICK ..... DETAILS: The 50 page playbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and bios of each of the leading actors, but no cast photos. Includes a full page ad for the Original Broadway Cast recording of "110 IN THE SHADE" on RCA Victor Records (third scanned image) ..... CONDITION: This playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
