    Description

    This is a rare March 2013 preview playbill from the Off-Broadway revival of the JASON ROBERT BROWN musical "THE LAST FIVE YEARS" at the Second Stage Theatre in New York City. (The production began previews on March 7th, 2013, officially opened April 2nd, 2013 and ran for seven weeks, closing May 18th, 2013.) ..... With a beautiful score by the Tony Award winning JASON ROBERT BROWN ("Parade" in 1999 and "The Bridges of Madison County" in 2014), the musical starred ADAM KANTOR as "Jamie" and BETSY WOLFE as "Cathy" ..... Loosely based on JASON ROBERT BROWN's own failed first marriage, the show is a two-character musical which tells the history of a relationship from two different perspectives. The male's narrative begins at the beginning of the story and progresses through marriage, infidelity, and divorce, while the female narrative begins at the end of the relationship and ends with the couple's first date; the two actors' only direct interaction takes place mid-point, during the wedding sequence ..... CREDITS: Book, Music and Lyrics by JASON ROBERT BROWN ("Parade", "Songs for a New World", "The Last 5 Years", "Urban Cowboy", "13", "Honeymoon in Vegas", "The Bridges of Madison County"); Sets
    designed by DEREK McLANE;
    Costumes designed by EMILY REBHOLZ; Directed by
    JASON ROBERT BROWN
    ; Produced by SECOND STAGE THEATRE ..... DETAILS: The 48 page playbill measures 5 3/8" X 8 1/2" inches and includes full production credits, cast list and bios of each of the actors and members of the creative team but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ..... CONDITION: This playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
