    Description

This is a beautiful Vocal Selections songbook from the
Original Off-Broadway production of the JASON ROBERT BROWN musical "THE LAST FIVE YEARS" at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City. (The production would officially open March 3rd, 2002 at the Minetta Lane Theatre and run for two months, closing May 5th, 2002.) ..... With a beautiful score by the Tony Award winning JASON ROBERT BROWN ("Parade" 1999, "The Bridges of Madison County" 2014), the musical starred NORBERT LEO BUTZ as "Jamie" and SHERIE RENE SCOTT as "Cathy" ..... Loosely based on JASON ROBERT BROWN's own failed first marriage, the show is a two-character musical which tells the history of a relationship from two different perspectives. The male's narrative begins at the beginning of the story and progresses through marriage, infidelity, and divorce, while the female narrative begins at the end of the relationship and ends with the couple's first date; the two actors' only direct interaction takes place mid-point, during the wedding sequence ..... CREDITS: Book, Music and Lyrics by JASON ROBERT BROWN ("Parade", "Songs for a New World", "The Last 5 Years", "Urban Cowboy", "13", "The Bridges of Madison County"); Sets and Costumes designed by BEOWULF BORITT; Directed by DAISY PRINCE; Produced by MARTY BELL and ARIELLE TEPPER .....
DETAILS: The 130 page songbook measures 9" X 12" inches, includes twelve songs from the show and is copyrighted 2002 by Jason Robert Brown and published by Hal Leonard, Milwaukee, Wisconsin ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a price sticker on the back and light edge wear, this songbook is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
