    Shank Length:  6 1/2" (top of top ring to bottom of bottom ring)
    Condition: Used.  Good.
    This bit has a mouthpiece that meets in the center under a roller.   Each side can rotate independently, allowing the rider to isolate each side for bending, balancing or lifting a shoulder.   The mouthpiece is coated in Sweet Iron.   Sweet Iron is designed to rust to increase the acceptance of the bit by the horse (horses love the taste of rust!).   This bit has been measured across the entire mouthpiece between cheeks.   Please see last photo for size.
    This bit is used but in good condition.   The sweet iron mouth has oxidized and rusted as intended.   The shanks do have marks from use but nothing that will effect the performance of this bit.   Not quite shiny enough for the show ring but perfect for everyday use.   On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being new, mint condition, I would give this bit an 8.   A nice quality bit!
