This is a rare autographed September 21st, 1953 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the LEONARD BERNSTEIN, BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN musical comedy "WONDERFUL TOWN" which played the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. (The production opened February 26th, 1953 and ran for 559 performances.) ..... The musical starred ROSALIND RUSSELL (shown in the cover photo) and featured GEORGE GAYNES, EDITH "Edie" ADAMS, HENRY LASCOE, DORT CLARK, JORDAN BENTLEY, NATHANIEL FREY, DELBERT ANDERSON, DODY GOODMAN and CRIS ALEXANDER. Among the ensemble was JOE LAYTON in his Broadway debut ..... Note: The playbill's front cover was signed by composer LEONARD BERNSTEIN, LyricistsBETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN and choreographer

CONDITION: (Please Note!) The seam is split at the bottom seam, there is a light vertical crease and six of the inside pages have torn corners. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
