This is a rare June 22nd, 1908 program (playbill) from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the HENRIK IBSEN play "ROSMERSHOLM" at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, California. (The revival opened December 30th, 1907 at the Lyric Theatre in New York City and ran for 30 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred Mrs. FISKE as "Rebecca West" and included ARTHUR FORREST, FULLER MELLISH, ALBERT BRUNING, WILLIAM A. NORTON and MARY MADDERN ..... CREDITS: Book by HENRIK IBSEN; Staged by HARRISON GRAY FISKE; Produced by Mr. and Mrs. FISKE ..... DETAILS: The twenty page program measures 5 1/8" X 6 3/4" inches and includes beautiful MAXFIELD PARRISH (or possibly a Maxfield Parrish admirer's) cover graphics, production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a nick in the lower right corner of the last few pages and light creasing, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
