I'm currently listing a large number of playbills from out-of-town tryouts prior to the Broadway runs. Many are from early performances when revisions were common and include song titles that were cut before opening in New York. (See cut songs below.) ....... Thisis a rare September 20th, 1948 "On Stage" playbill from the the Pre-Broadway engagement of the KURT WEILL and ALAN JAY LERNER musical vaudeville "LOVE LIFE"
at the Shubert Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts
. (The production would open October 7th, 1948 at
the Forty-Sixth Street Theatre in New York City

..... CUT SONGS: The list of musical numbers includes "You Understand Me So" which was cut out-of-town and "Is It Him Or Is It Me?" which was cut shortly after the Broadway opening
..... CONDITION: This rare playbill is in excellent condition and will become a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
