    This is a rare four page advertising herald (flyer) promoting the ORSON WELLES' Mercury Theatre Production of the William Shakespeare classic "JULIUS CAESAR" which was performed in repertory with the THOMAS DEKKER play "THE SHOEMAKERS' HOLIDAY" at the National Theatre in New York City. ("Julius Caesar" opened November 11th, 1937 at New York's Mercury Theatre, moved to the National Theatre on January 24th, 1938 and ran for 157 performances. This four page flyer measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" inches and includes partial cast list, excerpts from a number of New York reviews, an advertisement for the Mercury Theatre's controversial MARC BLITZSTEIN play with music "THE CRADLE WILL ROCK" at New York's Windsor Theatre and the performance schedule for both "JULIUS CAESAR" and "THE SHOEMAKERS' HOLIDAY" from January 24th through March 8th, 1938 ..... CONDITION: This rare schedule is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
