This is a rare December 21st, 1952 "Playgoer" playbill from the National Tour engagement of the groundbreaking RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical comedy "OKLAHOMA!" at the Geary Theatre in San Francisco, California. (The Original Broadway production opened March 31st, 1943 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and ran for 2212 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The ensemble cast included FLORENCE HENDERSON, RALPH LOWE (both shown in the cover photo), MARY MARLO, CHARLES HART, CHARLES SCOTT, JOHN ADDIS, VICTOR GRIFFIN, ALFRED CIBELLI, Jr., JACQUELIN DANIELS, JERRY MANN, JUDY RAWLINGS, MARGERY REILLEY, DAVIE GLADSTONE, JEAN BLEDSOE, MARQUITA LIVING, ANITA BERMAN, OWEN MARTIN, VICTOR REILLEY and BOB LORD ..... CREDITS: Music by RICHARD RODGERS; Book and Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN 2nd based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by LYNN RIGGS. BONUS: Includes a full page ad for the new comic strip based on "I LOVE LUCY" starring LUCILLE BALL and RICKY RICARDO (third scanned image) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing to the back cover and minor edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
