This is a rare glossy 8" X 10" inch press photograph of HELEN GALLAGHER, GENE NELSON, BETTY GARDE, HERBERT BANKE, OWEN MARTIN and the ensemblein a scene from the
New York City Center revival of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical comedy "OKLAHOMA!" at the New York City Center Theatre in New York City. (The revival opened March 19th, 1958 and ran for a limited engagement of fifteen performances.) ..... The musical starred BETTY GARDE as "Aunt Eller", HELEN GALLAGHER as "Ado Annie", HERBERT BANKE as "Curly", LOIS O'BRIEN as "Laurie", GENE NELSON as "Will Parker", DOUGLAS FLETCHER RODGERS as "Jud Fry" and HARVEY LEMBECK as "Ali Hakim" and featured PATRICIA FINCH, MICHAEL MAULE, GEMZE de LAPPE, GEORGE CHURCH, EVELYN TAYLOR, OWEN MARTIN and SHEPPARD KERMAN ..... CREDITS: Music by RICHARD RODGERS; Book and Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by LYNN RIGGS. DETAILS: This rare photograph from the "Theatre World" archives measures 10" X 8 1/8" inches and includes a photo credit for Miss ALIX JEFFRY of New York City on the backside (second scanned image) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of crop marks in the margins and two light paper clip indentations, this rare photograph is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
