This is a rare December 14th, 1939 program (playbill) from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of te COLE PORTER musical comedy "LEAVE IT TO ME!" at the Hartman Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. (The production opened November 9th, 1938 at the Imperial Theatre in New York City and ran for 291 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical marked the Broadway debuts of two entertainment legends: MARY MARTIN and GENE KELLY (though neither actor appeared in the Post-Broadway tour). The show starred WILLIAM GAXTON, VICTOR MOORE with SOPHIE TUCKER and featured SUNNY WRIGHT, AILEEN READ, WILLIAM LILLING, WALTER MONROE, MILDRED FENTON, EDWARD H. CONDITION: With the exception of a vertical fold to the back cover and light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
