This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the Pre-Broadway tryout of the STEPHEN SONDHEIM and HUGH WHEELER musical comedy "A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production would open February 25th, 1973 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and run for 601 performances.) ..... The musical starred LEN CARIOU, HERMIONE GINGOLD and GLYNIS JOHNS and featured LAURENCE GUITTARD, BETH FOWLER, BARBARA LANG, VICTORIA MALLORY, PATRICIA ELLIOTT, MARK LAMBERT, JUDY KAHAN, GARN STEPHENS (replaced out-of-town by D' JAMIN BARTLETT), DESPO, TERI RALSTON, BENJAMIN RAYSON, GENE VARRONE, SHERRY MATHIS and GEORGE LEE ANDREWS ..... CONDITION: With the exception of several creases and three horizontal folds, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
