I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ......... This is a rare December 29th, 1958 playbill from the opening weeks of the Original Broadway production of the cult favorite MOOSE CHARLAP and NORMAN GIMBEL musical comedy "WHOOP-UP" which played the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City. (The production opened December 22nd, 1958 and closed after only 56 performances.) ..... The musical starred SUSAN JOHNSON, PAUL FORD, RALPH YOUNG, ROMO VINCENT and SYLVIA SYMS and featured DANNY MEEHAN, JULIENNE MARIE, ASIA, P. J. KELLY, WALLACE ROONEY, MICHAEL KERMOYAN, VERA WALTON, BOBBY SHIELDS, JACKIE WARNER and PAUL MICHAEL ..... CREDITS: Book by CY FEUER and ERNEST H. CONDITION: With the exception of the date written in the top left corner of the cover, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
