    This is a rare January 18th, 1973 "Playgoer" playbill from the three-night, Pre-Broadway tryout of the TENNESSEE WILLIAMS play "OUT CRY" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open March 1st, 1973 at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City and close after only twelve performances.) ..... The two-character play starred MICHAEL YORK and CARA DUFF-MacCORMICK ..... Note: The front cover incorrectly identified this as a
    WORLD PREMIERE engagement. The play was produced in July 1971 at the Ivanhoe Theatre in Chicago, Illinois starring EILEEN HERLIE and DONALD MADDEN. It was at the time described as "The American Premiere of a New Play"

CONDITION: With the exception of light soiling (see second scanned image), this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
