This is a rare May 13th, 1946 programme (playbill) from the Original West End production of the Pulitzer Prize winning THORNTON WILDER play "OUR TOWN" at the New Theatre in London. (The Original Broadway production opened February 4th, 1938 at New York's Henry Miller's Theatre and ran for 336 performances. The London production opened April 30th, 1946, received mixed reviews and folded quickly.) ..... The play starred MARC CONNELLY as the "Stage Manager" and featured ROBERT BURTON, PETER THOMAS, JOHN SWEET, ESTHER SOMERS, MARJORIE GARRETT, RICHARD HYLTON, JOYCE MARTYN, MALCOLM THOMAS, CAROLYN WALL, WILLARD CARY, LESTER LONERGAN, Jr., LORNA DAVIS, ALAN SEDGWICK, EILEEN DALE, PHILIP COOLIDGE, HILDEGARDE HALLIDAY, TOMMY VIZE, WILLIAM LAYTON and RICHARD CLARKE ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the date written neatly at the bottom of the cover and a minor surface abrasion where the seal was removed, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
