Vintage Sewing Machine Cabinet Drawer Handmade Plywood Stained Furniture Utility
I believe this to be sewing machine drawer from an old treadle type sewing machine cabinet but it could be a drawer from some other piece of antique furniture. The only reason I question it is because it’s made of luan plywood and most of the cabinet drawers i’ve seen before were made with a little thicker and heavier wood. It is handmade though and whatever it’s original purpose, it’s great for a neat looking catch-all or to organize with. There are some chips and cracks, rough edges and places where the plywood filler has chipped out, areas where the top layer of the luon has peeled off, gaps between the wood, splintered wood where nails cracked it and exposed nails.
