This is a rare November 27th, 1936 playbill from the two-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of the WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE classic "OTHELLO" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The revival would open January 6th, 1937 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City and run for a limited engagement of 21 performances.) ..... The play starred WALTER HUSTON as "Othello" and ROBERT KEITH (replaced out-of-town by BRIAN AHERNE) as "Iago" and featured NAN SUNDERLAND, NATALIE HALL, G. P. HUNTLEY, Jr., ARTHUR PIERSON, EDWARD FIELDING, A. P. KAYE, WALTER BECK, JOSEPH ROEDER, WILLIAM E. MORRIS, LEO CHALZEL, GEORGE SPAULDING, PHILIP FOSTER, ELLIOTT C. BROWN, Jr., GEORGE W. MASTERS, AL BAYFIELD, G. B. KINGSTON, NATAN SACK, ARTHUR LIPSON, EDWARD JAMES and in the ensemble, LLOYD BRIDGES (in what would be his Broadway debut) .....
