This is a rare December 25th, 1936 playbill from the eight-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of the WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE classic "OTHELLO" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The revival would open January 6th, 1937 at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City and run for only 21 performances.) ..... The play starred WALTER HUSTON as "Othello" and BRIAN AHERNE as "Iago" and featured NAN SUNDERLAND, NATALIE HALL, G. P. HUNTLEY, Jr., ARTHUR PIERSON, EDWARD FIELDING, A. P. KINGSTON, NATAN SACK, ARTHUR LIPSON, EDWARD JAMES and in the ensemble, LLOYD BRIDGES (in what would be his Broadway debut) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
