This is a rare six-panel advertising herald (flyer) promoting the one-week,Post-Broadway engagement of the Winter Garden's Annual Fall Revue "THE PASSING SHOW OF 1921" at the Court Square Theatre in Springfield, Massachusetts beginning December 5th, 1921. (The production opened December 29th, 1920 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 191 performances before going on the road.) ..... "The Passing Show" began in 1912 (not counting an 1894 production at the Casino Theatre) as a Winter Garden Extravaganza. Like earlier productions, the 1921 edition starred WILLIE and EUGENE HOWARD, who would appear in nearly every other edition. The cast also included INA HAYWARD, TINY COLLINS, CORTEZ and PEGGY, EMILY MILES, JOE QUALTERS, IRVING O'HAY, VICTOR BOZART, JOSEPH SCHRODE, ABE ARONSON, ANTHONY JOCHIM, W. H. PRINGLE, JACK E. This six panel, bi-fold herald measures 5" X 8" inches (15" X 8" inches when opened) and includes wonderful graphics, beautiful photography, promotional text and excerpts from several reviews

CONDITION: With the exception of minor creasing at the folds, this rare flyer is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
