This is a rare combined souvenir program (playbill) from Nixon's Apollo Theatre in Atlantic City, New Jersey for October, November and December 1912 ..... Presented for one-night only, November 25th, 1912, was the BEN M. JEROME, ADDISON BURKHARDT and FREDERICK DONAGHEY musical comedy "LOUISIANA LOU" starring Mr. ALEXANDER CARR. (The production opened September 3rd, 1911 at the La Salle Opera House in Chicago and ran for 357 performances before going on the road. The musical never arrived on Broadway.) Among the cast was SOPHIE TUCKER in one of her earliest stage appearances as well as BESSIE DE VOIE in the title role, GEORGE T. SERRELS, ROBERT O'CONNOR, HELENA SALINGER, ELEANOR HENRY, LESTER CRAWFORD, BURRELL BARBARETTO and HARRY HANLON ..... Beginning November 27th, 1912, for four nights, was the Pre-Broadway engagement of the FRANZ LEHAR and GLEN MacDONOUGH musical "EVA". (The production would open December 30th, 1912 at New York's New Amsterdam Theatre and run for only 24 performances.) The cast included SALLIE FISHER in the title role, T. J. McGRANE, WALLACE McCUTCHEON, Jr., JOHN DALY MURPHY, TOM WATERS, ALMA FRANCIS, WALTER PERCIVAL, HARRIET WORTHINGTON, MARION VERNON, ALDEN MacCLASKIE, WILLIAM T. FORD, FRANCES MELVON, JOHN GOBSON, FLORENCE FILLMORE and EDNA BRODERICK ..... Beginning October 31st, 1912, for three nights, was the Pre-Broadway engagement of the JAMES BERNARD comedy romance "HAWTHORNE, U.S.A." starring DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS. (The production would open November 4th, 1912 at New York's Astor Theatre and run for 72 performances.) In addition to DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS, the cast included IRENE FENWICK, ANNIE HUGHES, IVAN SIMPSON, SAM B. HARDY, ALLAN POLLOCK, ERIC BLIND, HENRY STEPHENSON, WALTER HOWE, MARTIN L. ALSOP, LOUIS LABEY, W. LEONARD HOWE, RUTH ALLEN, RAPLEY HOLMES, W. MAYNE LYNTON, LEGAI ROBINSON, REXFORD COLLINS and FREDERICK POWELL ..... Beginning December 2nd, 1912, for three nights, was the LEE WILSON DODD comedy drama "FINISHING FANNY" starring IDA ST. LEON. (The production never arrived in New York.) ..... Beginning the week of October 21st, 1912, was the Post-Broadway engagement of the PAUL ARMSTRONG and WILSON MIZNER play "THE GREYHOUND". (The production opened October 23rd, 1911 at New York's 39th Street Theatre and ran for 126 performances before going on the road.)
